When the present owners bought French farm in February 2010 - they saw a need for accommodation on site. This was completed and opened in November 2011 - a turbulent time with the Christchurch earthquakes continuing .

Unable to sorce many things ,such as a range of light fittings etc - the owners traveled to Melbourne and Brisbane in search of some fittings . Coming back with three chandeliers amongst other things - these take pride of place in the hall and stairways . One being over 100 years old and use to reside in the Park Royal Hotel Brisbane .

The rooms are built above the existing barrel room at the back of the main restaurant - a stair way leads to four self contained rooms - all with en suites and basic kitchens ( fridge , micowave and jugs) Three queen size rooms one with bath and double shower, one with wheel chair access bathroom. The other a small room with lovely French double bed . All have large double doors.

All rooms are styled around a French theme -- all consisting of genuine French antiques - as is the hall way .

These rooms are cosy with wool underlays and duvets - double glazing and heat pumps - solar water heaters insure hot water - and satellite TV free view channels.

There is disabled access to all rooms. A full kitchen is downstairs with full cooking faculties , as the restaurant is currently not operating the rooms are self catering .

There is car parking in front of the building - and a private courtyard to enjoy .You can explore the grounds - play petanque or just enjoy and listen to the bird song and streams.
